About the Project
A contemporary residence defined by natural textures, generous light, and a calm relationship with its surroundings. Designed for everyday comfort and enduring appeal.
The Alder House began with the site: a south-facing slope, a line of mature trees and a long view. The plan follows the contours, so each home has its own outlook and its own garden.
Materials were chosen to age well. Oak, limestone and lime plaster run from inside to outside, and deep overhangs shade the glazing in summer while letting low winter light reach the back of each room.
